Events Cancelled for 2021

Stuart Rogers

4 Sept 2021

Announcement from the Chairman RE Cancellation of events due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Dear APPA Members,

In view of the current restrictions on travelling interstate, and the uncertainty of future lockdowns, the APPA have reluctantly cancelled the following events:

2021 Open Scotch Doubles (Sydney October 2nd)
National Women’s 9 Ball Championships (Sydney, October 3-4)
National 9 Ball Championships (Sydney, October 3-4)

At a time when players from any State have, or are likely to have, travel restrictions imposed upon them, we feel it is only fair that the National Championship not proceed.

Any member that wishes to receive a refund for entries already paid please reach out directly to the Treasurer Justin Sajich (treasurer@aupoolplayers.org) to arrange.

APPA of course will be planning to host several events in 2022, so you may of course contact APPA to keep those funds available to be applied for entry at a later stage.

The Executive deeply regrets having to make these decisions, but considers that they are necessary in order to ensure fairness to all APPA members.

APPA, Mission Statement

"Our primary goal is to grow the sport of American Pool in Australia and to achieve recognition from Sports Australia working towards an Australian Cue Sports Confederation."

In the spirit of reconciliation the Australian Pool Players Association acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
